About

I am a puppeteer and puppetry artist raised in Shepperton, based in Shepperton, Woking and London.

I have 10 years industry experience, working across theatre, screen and live events. I am a graduate of Curious School of Puppetry 2017, Resident Puppetry Artist of Kings College London and Freelance Puppeteer & Creative at Talk to the Hand Puppets.

I have a background in physical theatre, training in Commedia-Dell’Arte before pursuing Costume and finally Special Effects Prop Making at University of the Arts London: Wimbledon College of Art (including my introduction to Puppetry and Little Angel Theatre in my first year).

After graduating I got my first job as Puppetry Designer for Iris Theatre’s Pinocchio. It was after this that I decided to specialise and train to become a puppeteer and puppetry performance maker. It is a rare skill to have both an understanding of performance and making, I feel this gives me a unique perspective and understanding of the art form.

Through support at Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme I received a bursary at Cockpit Arts Holborn where I was based for 2 years. I am now supporting Prince’s Trust as a volunteer with the aim of supporting young artists working as freelancers in our industries.

I am a Scholar of the Queen Elizabeth Scholar Trust, receiving training from Lyndie Wright founder of Little Angel Theatre in the now endangered art of traditional Marionette carving. I have a passion for historical puppetry cabaret and the history of puppetry in music hall. I hope to pursue work in this area with the support of my studies.
