“Percy is a young puffin who is too afraid to fly. When his parents migrate south for the winter, Percy finds he is all alone and in grave danger! Along comes a fearless field-mouse called Shrimp and the two of them set off on an unexpected adventure: can they survive the perils on the journey ahead, and will Percy ever find his way back to his flock…?”

I had the absolute pleasure of working with writer, Tessa Nicholson of Puffling Productions in this co-production with Norwich Puppet Theatre. With music by the incredible Harriette Ashcroft, better known as Mrs H and the Singalong Band in their first puppetry-theatre production.

I was bought on board as puppetry designer and working through several stages of R&D and rehearsal developed the characters of Percy, Shrimp and multiple other feathered friends - and enemies! I have then been touring with the show puppeteering as Percy’s best mate, Shrimp, the field mouse among the other colourful characters he encounters.
